Spring Inspiration

Cupcakes and Cashmere

Alice Temperly's living room

 Chatworth

Sorry guys for I have been AWOL for a while.  Between the real-life job, my cousin's spring engagement and the beautiful Spring/Summer weather in Michigan, I have been a busy kitty.  Also, I have engulfed myself with bedroom & study renovations.  I am usually very complacent and can live with the same decor or listen to the same CD in the Prius for EVER & EVER.  However, recently {maybe as my birthday is approaching} I have been feeling a little adventure-some.  Above are some images from my inspiration board.  The common theme is vintage, feminine and Boho-Chic.  My previous bedroom was a black/grey "India" theme with yellow accents.  Now my bedroom is mostly grey & gold with lavender walls (the room came that way and I haven't bothered changing them). I am hoping to scout some estate sales over the summer for vintage pieces.  I might post some pictures after I have done with the bedroom.

Above are the illustrations and prints by Nani Puspasari.  An Indonesian native and a Master of Design student from Australia. My sister first introduced me to Nani's work last year. I have been keeping an eye on her whimsical and feminine gendered perspective.  She takes inspiration from her own life experiences.  Check her out: Website  HERE   Blog  HERE   Etsy Shop

Seoul Callin' Part Deux

K-Dramas have taken over my life since last year, mainly due to the impeccable style of all the male and female leads.  I remember when I used to attend High School in Canada all of the Korean and Chinese students had the most stylish coats, jackets, and book bags.  K-Dramas are more enjoyable than most American and even Indian shows.  Yoon Eun-Hye happens to be my favorite Korean actress.  Here are some of her pictures.  Enjoy.  If you are interested in watching some light-hearten romantic comedies with great style I recommend: 1. Boys over Flowers, 2. Save the lady, 3. My Princess, 4. Personal Taste, 5. Save the Boss, 6. Flower Boy Ramyun shop, 7. You're Beautiful  8. City Hunter.

Just in time for spring, here's some inspiration for your wardrobe.
Color Blocking and floral prints were pretty visible in 2012 Spring collections.
Do Not shy away from floral prints however there is fine line from looking fresh in floral to looking like your grandmothers living room curtain. So choose wisely but do take a risk.
