In my early teens, I stumbled upon a picture of Yasmeen Ghauri in a magazine and was mesmerized by her face. I tore her picture out and hung it up in my room. I was so curious about her but sadly the "World Wide Web" was not established back then. Over the years due to various international moves, I lost her picture but always remembered her. Long story short, I finally googled her. Here is the 101 on this Pakistani/German/Canadian Super Model who took over the fashion industry like a wrecking ball in the 90's. She has been on major covers of various editions of ELLE and VOGUE. She became the face of "CHANEL", Jil Sander, Christian Dior, Anne Klein, Valentino, Hermèsand Versace. She has walked for Victoria's Secret. She ended her phenomenal career as the most sought out super model by being the showstopper for YSL in 1996.
Above are my picks from the Fall/Autumn '14 Paris, Milan, and London Fashion Weeks. I was very impressed by Gucci's entire collection. Black & White continues to dominate runways however pop of colors like orange, magenta, burgundy and grey were visible in some collections.
Above are my picks from the 2014 Paris Spring Couture Fashion Week. Biggest trends are colors Black & White. I am the color "grey" [not Christian grey] kinda girl so Valentino's use of this intermediate color between black and white is perfect for my sensibilities. "Happy Spring" and hopefully no more polar vortex!
