Designers: Debarun/Kallol Dutta/Garav Gupta/Nishka Lulla/Patola/Yogesh Chaudhary/Sailex
Sailex and Yogesh Chaudhary received rave reviews on their collections.

Designers: Debarun/Nupur Kanoi/Yogesh Chandhary

Designer: Sabyasachi Mukherjee

So Lakme Winter/ Festive 2012 & Delhi Contour Week 2012 ended in India and I saw a lot of spanking new designers and some tried and true Veterans.   I was impressed by two designer's collections in their entirety: Fairy god-mother Anamika Khanna & Genie of the Lamp Sabyasachi Mukerjee.  Worth mentioning, the much awaiting collection by Manish Arora was a dud as it was an amalgamation of his older collections presented as "Retrospect".  Which designer's collection did you facny?

Every Photo Tells a Story

India's top notch photographer Prabuddha Dasgupta was never formally trained in formal photography. He trained himself and became the master of this craft.  His photos captured this rawness and newness yet so simple and couture.  He worked for Hermes, Loius Vuitton, Vogue USA/India, Elle India, Ritu Kumar and many others.  His muse and real life partner was the fashion favorite world-over, Laksmi Menon.  He passed away Sunday leaving a legacy hard to be matched.  Read more HERE.

Resort 2013

Here are my picks from the Resort 2013 designer lines. I was very impressed with Balmain's entire collection. The Celine red HOT look took my breath away. NO JOKE!  I love dresses but I would pick fitted pants with a structured blazer any day.  Which looks is your pick?

I get super excited when I find some tresure to share with my readers.  Sisters Pheobe & Annette Stephens jewelry line started in 2009.  Their grandmother, Annette Nancarrow's jewelry designs were collected by The Feida Kahlo and Elizabeth Arden. Each of their piece is uniquely hand crafted of both mixed metals and silver in Mexico City.  Their strong family heritage combined with their own interpretation of antique European jewelry, ancient Egyptian motifs, Japanese design elements and Bauhaus graphics culminate to bring their vision forward to us.  I'm smitten by their clutches.  Their designs are like the use of accessories as weapons.  Strong. Bold. Beautiful.
