So I have read a lot of mixed reviews about the Resort 2011 collection. I really LIKE it. If you have not notice, I like pretty much like anything by this fabric GENIUS. I read someone call this collection, "fun & freedom of the 1920s, touches of the 1970s Boho chic and the 1980s daring look". I love the nerdy look, i love the boho/chic style so I came up with my own name for this collection the "Nerd-Boho Swag." What do you think? ~~ Ciao Bella ~~

Maharani livin'
Sonakshi Sinha at the falaknuma palace at Hyderabad. I has to share these pictures because I am a sucker for Indian palaces. If I believed in reincarnation, I swear I had been an Indian Maharani in my past life. The luxurious costumes, the secret passages, heirlooms, Victorian furniture, tapestries combined with Indian palace, ahhhh "I DIE". Do you get the drift! Sonakshi doesn't look that bad either. Picture 1/7/8 are my Favorite. Read more about the hotel HERE

Teacher's Pet
Isn't this the most adorable shoot?? My family friends in California got hitched last year and used Alders Photography to capture their special day (I will be posting their session soon). I love the chalk board themed shoot. We all remember playing pretend "school" with all our friends and cousins growing up. This session is quirky, cute and sweet! Very creative idea for a "save a date". What do you think? Learn more on Alders Photography HERE

TO MATCH HER PEARL GRAY OUTFIT, tO MATCH HER PEARL GRAY OUTFIT, SHE WEARS A SILVERY DARK GREY ON THE EYELID, ACCENTUATED WITH THICKENING MASCARA, AND A BLACK LINER. THE MOUTH IS ENLIGHTENED BY A PINK GLOSS, AND THE CHEEKS ARE STRUCTURED BY A ROSY BLUSH.
So, above are some of my picks for CANNES Film Festival. I can not even imagine the talent, glamor, beauty, and fun that makes this film festival like no other in the world. Maybe, one day I would be an eye witness of this spectacular movie madness.

khanology is Carbon Neutral
My mantra: Preserving the environment/conservation of resources
Friends, family and even coworkers, all know that I am a huge "go green" buff. My earliest memory of my Greener Walk of Life is a PSA, when I was around 7 yrs old, about turning the lights off when leaving a room. Growing up in Canada, I learned more about the "recycle, reuse, reduce=close the loop" initiative.
"Make it Green" is a German movement. They will plant a tree for every blogger who blogs about their mission. The goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The Khanology tree will neutralize the Khanology blog's carbon footprint for the next 50 years. Read more about them HERE. I am doing my part-hope you will yours as well.

These habits have stuck to me like glue:
- Recycle everything: paper/plastic/electronics
- Always copy double or two sided
- Do not throw batteries in the garbage (Contact your city office)
- Do not throw plastic water bottles in the garbage-they sit in a landfill for years
- Drive a Hybrid (my Prius makes my heart Swoon!)
- Buy recycled paper gift wrap & note cards
- Use fabric/Jute bags to carry groceries
- PLANT TREES

High on Chai
Designer: Nida Mahmood
Philosophy for this collection: "High on Chia". Mix of street chic/pop culture
I had the pleasure of a brief conversation with Nida recently. I was ECSTATIC. Not only do we share the same name, I get her vision! To me her pieces have their own character: Vintage, Androgynous with Pop. My fondest memories of the old country are the hustle and bustle of the bazaars, the corner chai wallahs, the samosas on wheels, and the fabric shops with yards upon yards of fabric folded neatly and placed in selves along the 4 walls of the shop. Nida's collections, somehow, is a reflection of that day-to-day life. To me her collection is for a woman of substance, who's personality is an Equal to the piece she wears. I CAN NOT wait for my Nida Madmood sari to arrive. I recently bought it HERE. I will be posting pictures of my sari when I receive it. Read more on her HERE

A Walk in the Park
My dear friend Elida from "Elida Ticula photography" shared
her idea for a shoe photo-shoot over some sushi last week.
I gleefully offered my services. A day later, we made it a reality.
My Shoes + Her Camera = A walk in the Park!
As I am a shoe-a-holic, I packed 80% of my shoes and tugged
them over to our "secret garden". We only picked the ones pictured above.
As summer is approaching, I will be wearing my gladiators
& oxfords a lot, especially to work or when hanging
with my friends.
From top to Bottom:
L.A.M.B, Christian Dior, Boutique 9, Miu Miu, Kaddam (Khussa bought in England, Yves St. Laurent, Modern Vintage, Marni, Stuart Weitzman & Fyre!
