Villa Italiana circa 1964

For me, this editorial channels your inner bombshell.  Work hard=live hard.  Heavy black liquid eyeliner, Bump-Its, designer gowns,  rich brocades, soft silks and king size murals set the mood for this festive spread. Sophia Loren with her film producer husband Carlo Ponti began renovating this villa in 1960 and were photographed in it for Life magazine four years later. Loren called the villa her first “real home” and said, ”A house is like a person, you must be together for awhile to be comfortable.” The interior of the villa is very classically Italian, as you will notice, and Loren wears some classic 60s outfits while showing off her pad. This home truly coins "lifestyles of the rich & famous".   I love the gardens and the pool.  Source:RDuJour.

Style Envy

Christine Centenera is the fashion editor for Harper's Bazaar (Australia). She also freelances as a stylist. She has in the past worked as Lara Bingle's stylist. Christine has become known for her stylish outfits, having been photographed by The Sartorialist, where I came across her pictures and was really impressed by her effortless/chic "killer" style.
She is a self confessed "sucker" for anything with studs and metal detailing of patent leather. Christine goes on to say that her "insanely high" instep is the reason for her being unable to wear flat shoes. Where all of us look up to her style, her favorite designers are Theres Rawsthorne, Pierre Hardy and Ksubi jeans.

The Knight(ley) Magic

I am not the biggest fan of ms. Knightley's but i really like this editorial.
It reminds me of Shakespeare meets Atonement meets Pride & Prejudice.
I love watching her in period films, because she embodies the Ms. Hepburn charm and grace.

Hola Español

My work trip to New Mexico in 2009 was filled with great company,
free stay at the Hilton where President Obama and the First lady also came to stay
two days.  As fancy as that sounds, the secret service had the hotel in such tight security
that it was a pain to come inside the hotel, to go outside the hotel and to even go to our room.

a shop in Old Town
Everyone say "Hail Mary"
Street vendors selling overpriced hand made jewelry- be ready to bargain with them. I was able to get two
pairs of earing with semi-precious stones and turquoise for my mother and sister
Musician at one of the restaurants in Old Town we ate , he let me play his $12,000 Guitar =)
Beautiful Albuquerque
Hand made sculptures / beautiful fireplace
I love the look of stucco homes, fireplaces & ovens
Sweet local shops but with overpriced merchandise. I loved the flat roofs on all the buildings, reminded of my grandparents home. I would love to move there, I think.
Fried Ice-cream, had it for the first time and loved it!!!
Me sipping some coffee right before heading for my conference,
my "Lockheart" handbag (TO DIE), cool rings my friend Diana and I bought-the one i
got was actually a present for my bff. You must visit if you get a chance!
